Exploration of Ideological and Political Education Model of “Cultivating Students Through Culture” in Pharmacognosy Course

Pharmacognosy,as a core course in pharmaceutical programs,focuses on medicinal herbs and natural products and is enriched with abundant cultural resources from Chinese traditional literature,history,philosophy,and medicine.Based on the characteristics of the pharmacognosy curriculum,the teaching team explores a new ideological and political education paradigm of "cultivating students through culture." The study systematically excavates the cultural essence embedded in the course from multiple dimensions,including traditional Chinese medicine nomenclature,the history of traditional Chinese medicine development,philosophical thought,dietary therapy and health preservation,as well as literary and artistic expressions.By integrating curricular teaching practice with extracurricular activities,ideological and political education is internalized in students' cognition and externalized in their practice,thereby achieving the educational goal of "cultivating through culture and educating through culture."
