Pathways for Enhancing Curriculum Ideological and Political Education Teaching Competence of Subject Teachers in Traditional Chinese Medicine Colleges and Universitiess

At present,subject teachers in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) universities face several challenges in their curriculum ideological and political education teaching competence,including imprecise identification of integration points between TCM disciplinary knowledge and ideological-political elements,a mismatch between implementation capacity and pedagogical requirements in TCM education,and a lack of reflection and improvement mechanisms tailored to the characteristics of TCM.The enhancement of curriculum ideological and political education teaching competence among subject teachers in TCM universities should be grounded in the unique attributes of TCM culture,namely its inheritance-oriented nature,clinical practicality,and classical theoretical foundations.By empowering five-dimensional competencies—cognition,extraction,integration,implementation,and reflection—a precisely targeted enhancement framework is constructed.Furthermore,a three-dimensional driving pathway is established to achieve quality improvement and efficiency enhancement.
