Abstract:
This study analyzed 3 741 job postings related to biomedical data science collected from four major recruitment platforms in China, namely Zhaopin Recruitment,BOSS Zhipin,51Job,and Liepin,to investigate the current demand characteristics for data science talents in the biomedical industry. The findings indicate that relevant positions are predominantly concentrated in economically developed regions such as the Yangtze River Delta, with clear hierarchical requirements regarding candidates' work experience, educational background, technical skills, and knowledge base.Positions such as AI algorithm engineers demonstrate strong salary competitiveness and exhibit a greater demand for candidates with master's or doctoral degrees. Therefore, the talent cultivation system for biomedical data science should prioritize the enhancement of AI-driven data analysis and mining capabilities, actively promote interdisciplinary integration and data literacy development, and place greater emphasis on cultivating students' soft skills, including communication competence and lifelong learning ability.
