Abstract: Cultivating first-class talents and serving national strategies are important guiding principles of the double first-class initiative.In response to the national demand for high-level pharmaceutical talents,the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Sun Yat-sen University implements a distributary training model for senior undergraduate students in three major directions:medicinal chemistry,pharmacology,and pharmaceutics.The aim is to strengthen students' grasp of the frontiers of discipline development,enhance their comprehensive application of fundamental pharmaceutical knowledge and problem-solving abilities,and stimulate their innovative capabilities.Taking the course on key technologies in drug discovery as an example,this paper introduces the design ideas,teaching content,methods,and effectiveness of the corresponding courses in the direction of medicinal chemistry,offering new insights for the cultivation of elite pharmaceutical talents.
