A Study on the Impact of Pharmaceutical Information Literacy on Employment Competitiveness of Pharmacy Students in the Era of Artificial Intelligence:An Empirical Analysis Based on AI Tool Application Competency

  • To address the new competency requirements posed by the intelligent transformation of the pharmaceutical industry, this study constructs a framework of pharmaceutical information literacy in the era of artificial intelligence.Through literature analysis, the Delphi expert consultation method, and a pilot study,a measurement scale comprising four dimensions, including AI tool application and innovation capability, was developed.Based on survey data from 612 students across five universities, the reliability and validity of the scale were verified as acceptable.Structural equation modeling results indicate that this lite-racy framework has a significant positive effect on pharmacy students' employment competitiveness.Among the dimensions,AI tool application and innovation capability demonstrate the strongest predictive effect.Professional identity plays a partial mediating role in this relationship, and the positive impact of this lite-racy is more pronounced among students from non- "Double First-Class" universities. The findings suggest that competence in applying AI tools is currently a critical weakness in pharmaceutical information literacy and represents a key form of "compensatory capital." Pharmaceutical education should therefore comprehensively strengthen students' understanding, evaluation, and application of intelligent technologies.
