Abstract:
Higher education institutions specializing in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) shoulder vital responsibilities in talent cultivation,scientific research,social service,and cultural innovation.As faculty structures evolve across TCM universities in China,young teachers are increasingly becoming the backbone of the academic workforce,and their job competency directly affects the quality of talent cultivation and institutional development.This study examines the connotation and characteristics of job competency,assesses the current status and challenges of young faculty's teaching and research capabilities in TCM institutions,and proposes targeted strategies.These include optimizing recruitment and training mechanisms,developing differentiated performance appraisal systems,implementing dual incentive models,and improving management practices in teaching and research.The goal is to enhance young faculty members' job competency across teaching,research,and clinical domains.
