Abstract:
Pharmacology is a course that connects basic medicine and clinical medicine.Mastering the properties of drugs and its action mechanism is a prerequisite for rational application of drugs.In order to make basic teaching compatible with clinical applications,integrating clinical thinking into the reform of pharmacology teaching mode is advocated.The Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE),a tool to assess the professional knowledge and practical skills required by students in their future career,has been applied to the teaching of medicine-related courses in many countries.This article describes the application process of the OSCE,including OSCE teaching cases writing,pedagogy and assessment mode,the scoring criteria and the feedback after class from student.It aims to explore the feasibility of this mode in pharmacology teaching,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the innovation of pharmacology teaching method in domestic medical colleges,and promote the development of medical education in China.
