Abstract:
Taking different formulations of “San Huang Medical Formula” as an example, the teaching team designed a comprehensive, integrative experimental project that consolidates knowledge from multiple courses within the traditional Chinese medicine curriculum. The experiment encompasses key concepts and laboratory techniques from medicinal botany, traditional Chinese medicine identification, traditional Chinese medicine processing, traditional Chinese medicine pharmacology, traditional Chinese medicine chemistry, traditional Chinese medicine pharmaceutics, traditional Chinese medicine formulation analysis, and comprehensive experimental training.By expanding the traditional “San Huang Medical Formula” into multiple pharmaceutical dosage forms, students compare differences in administration routes, extraction techniques, preparation procedures, and quality standards. This integrative experimental design enhances students’ ability to apply interdisciplinary knowledge, strengthens their practical laboratory skills, and lays a solid foundation for developing research-oriented thinking.
