Abstract: Fostering virtue through education is the fundamental mission of higher education.Integrating ideological and political elements into professional courses represents a key initiative in realizing this mission.By identifying and incorporating content with distinctive Chinese characteristics and effectively narrating "Chinese stories",educators can enhance students' cultural and national confidence,instill correct values,and cultivate their capacities for scientific inquiry and innovation.The medicinal chemistry teaching and research team has proposed a "Five-in-One" ideological and political educational strategy—centered on historical culture,policies and regulations,cutting-edge technologies,significant social events,and exemplary role models.This approach aims to systematically explore ideological elements rooted in Chinese traditions and integrate them into professional instruction,thereby fostering an organic connection between disciplinary education and ideological-political education and advancing their synergistic role in talent cultivation.
