Abstract: This study discusses the unique advantages of hospital-prepared traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulations in addressing unmet market needs,facilitating clinical practice in hospitals,and promoting new drug development.It also examines the current challenges confronting hospital-prepared TCM formulations,including a shortage of specialized professionals,insufficient clarification of their clinical value,and inadequate technical support.Incorporating research and development-related content of hospital-prepared TCM formulations into undergraduate curricula can effectively enhance students' practical skills and innovative capabilities.Such curricular integration contributes to establishing a solid foundation for scientific research among students,strengthening the talent pool for the TCM field,and further promoting technological advancement and practical application of hospital-prepared TCM formulation development.
