Strategic Planning and Enlightenment of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy in the Post-Pandemic Era

Based on literature research,this paper analyzes the latest strategic planning of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy to interpret the reform demands,strategic intentions,and key points of strategic planning for American pharmacy education in the post-pandemic era.The development trends of American pharmacy education in the post-pandemic era are summarized into four aspects:leading the transformation of pharmacy education and practice;optimizing the pharmacy education and lifelong learning of pharmacists and professional educators;updating accreditation standards to ensure the quality of pharmacy education during crises;and highlighting the importance of diversity,equity,inclusiveness,and accessibility in education.The development of pharmacy education in China should strengthen the strategic research on pharmacy education development,enhance the active participation of pharmacy professional associations in pharmacy talent cultivation,thereby promoting educational reform and innovation and improving the quality of talent training.
