Application of the “Online+Offline” Teaching Model Based on PBL Concepts in Clinical Clerkship

Taking the orthopedic clinical clerkships for international students at Hunan Provincial People’s Hospital as an example, the teaching team implemented an “online + offline” teaching model grounded in the principles of problem-based learning（PBL）,reforming traditional instructional approaches.Comparative analysis between the conventional teaching mode and the PBL-based online teaching approach revealed that the “online + offline” PBL model significantly enhanced international students’ understanding and mastery of orthopedic knowledge, improved their abilities in problem analysis, problem-solving, and self-directed learning, and fostered their overall humanistic competence.
