Abstract
By comparing biochemistry textbooks in domestic universities, this article examines the concept of enzyme specificity, which is how an enzyme acts on one or a class of structurally similar substrates in the same medium to catalyze certain chemical reactions and produce corresponding products. Issues of enzyme classification and existing problems are discussed, and suggestions are made for the classified teaching of the concept of enzyme specificity.
