Reflections and Reforms on the Teaching Schemes of Frontier in Pharmacological Sciences

  • Frontier of Pharmacological Sciences is a newly designed curriculum developed in response to the trends and challenges in life sciences.Focusing on pharmacology,the course explores cutting-edge advances and challenges in the life sciences.This paper summarizes and reflects on existing teaching approaches for this frontier pharmacology course and introduces innovative pedagogical models,such as the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework and Team-Based Learning (TBL) strategies.These models help cultivate students' comprehensive abilities,innovative thinking,and teamwork skills,thereby enhancing their competitiveness in advanced pharmacology.Furthermore,specific course reform proposals are presented,including content updates guided by skill development and career planning,improvements in teachers' professional expertise,and a developmental roadmap for the course,all aimed at promoting effective teaching quality enhancement.
