Reform of the “Four-Dimension Enhancement” in the Course Natural Products Chemistry under the Background of New Agricultural Sciences

  • The construction of “New Agricultural Sciences” emphasizes the integration of agricultural science with life sciences, engineering, and other disciplines, aiming to cultivate innovative and interdisciplinary “new-type agricultural talents” with a solid foundation in agricultural science. The key to supporting this initiative lies in advancing the reform of professional training systems and curriculum teaching.Taking Natural Product Chemistry, a compulsory course for chemistry majors and a foundational course for agronomy majors as a practical carrier, this paper responds to the new educational requirements for higher agricultural institutions under the “New Agricultural Sciences” framework. It identifies existing issues in the current teaching system and deeply explores ideological and political elements within the curriculum, integrating them into professional instruction.A “Chemistry+Agricultural Engineering” integrated content system is designed, and an interactive teaching model is established using the “Rain Classroom” platform. Moreover, a comprehensive evaluation system for students’ learning outcomes is constructed.Through these initiatives, the course achieves a “four-dimension enhancement”:high ideological-political penetration, high interdisciplinary integration, high student engagement, and multidimensional assessment. This reform aims to provide valuable reference for teaching innovation in chemistry-related courses at universities.
