Abstract
To address current challenges in English public speaking instruction—such as the lack of authentic training environments and insufficient opportunities for hands-on practice—this study draws upon "mastery learning" theory,situated cognition theory,and experiential learning theory.Based on a comprehensive needs analysis,the proposed design integrates multiple technological systems,including a virtual reality-based English speaking training system,an intelligent interactive teaching platform,an IoT-based control system,a smart cloud classroom management system,and both live-streaming and recording capabilities.The result is a virtual simulation language laboratory equipped with modules for instruction,training,and assessment,along with a corresponding application model.This innovative laboratory breaks away from traditional language lab paradigms,enhances the sophistication of English public speaking education,and establishes a new model for integrated teaching and training.
