Research on Enhancing the Effectiveness of University Students' Safety Education

University student safety education is an effective practice for implementing the concept of overall national security education.This form of education enhances students' safety awareness,fosters their ability to respond to emergencies,strengthens their self-protection skills,and improves their overall safety literacy and sense of social responsibility.It also enriches the content of ideological and political education in universities.Using the example of a safety education online course offered to freshmen at Peking University Health Science Center over three consecutive years,this paper investigates the effectiveness of this approach through a course outcome survey.It explores ways to enhance the impact of safety education by transforming it from a knowledge-transfer classroom into a platform for cultivating practical skills and guiding values,thereby solidifying the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education.
